Well, I begun to be interested in digital photography in 1998 whan I bought my first digital camera, a kodak DC 120 in a weird shop in New-York city.

It was a really good camera but infortunately it disdn't resist to the the trip in Morocco.

In August 2000, I bought a Olympus C2500L which is an amazing camera. First of all, the reflex look like is very attractive. In practise, I appreciate the manual mode and in many ways it  it can be used like a reflex. In addition the quality of the photographies is very good and realistic. Other things are the possiblity to use both smartmedia and compact flash cards which is very convenient. The remote is convenient too for the slow pose shots. Finally the macro and super macro mode are really impressive.

The well known drawback of the digital cameras is the storage capacity. This camera was delivered with a 32 Mb smartmedia card which allows to store 55 photos in HQ quality (1712X1368, jpeg mode, 500-550 Kb). To my view the major problem with this camera is the transfert of the files to the computer by the way of teh parallel which to slow.

How to improve this ? Easy and not very expensive : it is a USB card reader which has the speed of a hard drive and the transfer of a file is almost instantanely.

So you can  tell me now, what to do with your  hundred of photos. Well the easy way is to store them on a CD (about 1400 HQ photos on a 700 Mb CD).

It might be intersting to print them. In this case check out this :

It is the polaroid USB printer and it really amazing. It take only few seconds to have your photo printed in very good quality Here is a sample olympusC25004.jpg (46175 bytes) you can click to enlarge. The only inconvenients are the price of a photo of about 1 $ and the polaroid white frame.
